Notre Dame School was founded in 1940 in Lingfield by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Lingfield Notre Dame provides a Christian education founded in the Catholic tradition, for boys and girls of all denominations from 2½ to 18 years old. Since 1987 it has been administered by its governing body through an educational trust. It is the only independent co-educational day school in the area which provides education from nursery to sixth form. Lingfield Notre Dame school is a member of ISC and ISA.

Recent facilities include newly tiered 15 acre playing fields, both Junior and Senior state of the art Sports Halls, a suite of 5 laboratories and a Sixth Form Centre.
