JUNIOR SCHOOL ADMISSIONS

The main entry points to our Junior School are at Nursery and Reception level. Places for older children only then become available when current students leave. We have a waiting list for Nursery and Junior School entry when year groups are oversubscribed. For all applicants there is a non-refundable Registration Fee of £50; however if a place does not come up in the Junior School, this fee covers you to take our entrance examination into the Senior School.

Foundation Stage - Nursery (Caterpillars & Butterflies) & Reception

Entry to our Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) is dependent on space availability. Nursery Caterpillar pupils may enter in the September, January or April after they reach the age of 2½. However, we do not feel it is right to accept those with September, October and November birthdays in the previous Summer Term, since the friends they would make in that term would move on to the older Nursery class (Butterflies) at the start of the next academic year (September), leaving them behind. We consider it better for them to start at the beginning of the academic year, along with the peer group with which they will continue their school career, even though by then they will be nearly three.

Key Stages 1 & 2 - Years 1 to Year 6

Entry to Years 1-6 in our Junior School is dependent on space availability, a trial day where an assessment in English and Mathematics is made to determine whether the school can accept at this time, and a satisfactory reference from the previous school.

Please call the Head of Admissions on 01342 838153 with any enquiries or to arrange an appointment to view the school.
